Ontario Prospectors Association Announces 4th Tranche of the Junior Exploration Assistance Program (JEAP)

November 1, 2017:  The Ontario Prospectors Association (OPA) is pleased to announce the 4th Tranche of the Junior Exploration Assistance Program (JEAP) will commence November 1, 2017.  The JEAP is administrated by the OPA and funded by Northern Ontario Heritage Corporation (NOHFC).  The original commitment from NOHFC was $5.0 million to provide up to a maximum of $100,000 exploration rebate (33.33% of expenditures). 

The program to date has assisted companies by supporting 43 projects totaling $2.8 million in rebates.  These projects accounted for  company exploration expenditures of just under $12.0 million.  The projects were completed across the north exploring for various commodities.

The program is focused on supporting the Junior Company explorers with a market capitalization of < $5.0 million.

The 4th tranche will have a final application date of December 15, 2017 with a deadline for proof of funds and commercial liability of December 29, 2017. Field work will be completed by March 30, 2018 and final reporting for funding completed by June 1, 2018.
